Salsa Resurrection

Following the tradition of a previous recipe post, I’m going to share another simple concoction using resurrected foods to create a delicious snack.

Salsa Resurrection is quick and easy to make:

You’ll need a cauldron and a magic wand to resurrect the enzymes in your store bought ingredients…or just a bowl and fork will do, if you prefer.

1.) This organic salsa was on sale at my local grocery store – in the heathy foods section.  The store brand also has a terrific organic salsa – but you could make your own from tomatoes, garlic, and cilantro.


2.) Leave enough room in the bowl for the rest of the pixie dust.


3.) Add the guacamole – seasoned with garlic, lime juice, and anything else that suits your tastebuds.  


4.) I mix them together at this point, but it changes the color from vibrant green to citric-acid washed bland.


5.) The magic comes next!  Healthforce Vitamineral Green is full of enzymes and probiotics – and your tastebuds will never know it’s there.  {Some people use recipes like this to “trick” their children into consuming healthier foods, but I prefer to think of these combinations as delivery systems to make it easier to increase my own intake of essential nutrition.}

Water – Boosted

What’s a great way to boost a fasting program?

Fresh juices and pure water – with a boost from an unexpected source.

It’s a simple way to fast, but always be sure you’re prepared for this, by checking with your own personal health network – doctor, naturopath, holistic health practitioner, etc.:

  • Fresh juices tend to “buffer” the body’s detoxification – slowing down the body’s pace of throwing-off toxins and thus enabling you to improve, rather than stagnate in the cesspool.
  • Add some Raw Organic Unfiltered Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar to your pure water, and research why it’s helpful to do something like this to boost your own pH.
  • Enjoy!

Hydration – It’s Simple and Profound!

Pure water is essential for health – you need about 1/2 ounce of water, for every pound of body weight…more if you’re sweating or if its particularly arid where you are; so if you weigh 200 pounds, you need about 100 ounces of water every day.

When you don’t drink enough water, the most common response is a misinterpretation of hunger – so you think you’re hungry, when in reality; you are craving water.

“Hydration, which requires a TDS of 200 or less, is much more effective when the water has a TDS of 50, or even lower. Healthy water increases alkalinity of the extracellular fluid and increases the acidity of the intracellular fluid. The biggest cause of DNA malfunction is dehydration, which is a lack of hydrogen ions. Hydrogen-deficient DNA is more likely to mutate, and therefore cause cancer. It needs the high electron input to replicate accurately. If the cells are dehydrated, they are unable to supply that electron demand of the DNA. DNA strands are nucleic acids, and therefore inextricably tied to hydrogen molecules and acidic (hydrogen-replenishing) water. Don’t be a mutant.  Drink pure water.  Drink enough every day to promote healthy detoxification, and prevent dehydration.  Skip the salty sodas, and try to have a drink of water when you think you’re hungry – if it passes, you’ll know that you were thirsty instead.  Tap water often contains chlorine and fluoride, which aren’t needed if the water is pure.  {You might not realize this, but municipal water isn’t ever pure…by definition, it contains an acceptable level of contaminants and microorganisms.}  Take a few minutes and read the water reports that your local publicly owned water treatment company sends to your mailbox every year.  If you can afford a small reverse-osmosis unit {about $200} for your home, it will purify your water for pennies per gallon and should provide water with very low TDS (total dissolved solids) for maximum hydration results.  Is your health worth a small investment?

Prince of Peace ~ Essential Oil Blend

Here’s a “formula” for a blend of essential oils that I made after an introductory course in therapeutic aromatherapy.  

It’s wonderfully energizing, balancing, and detoxifying for my soul, and I hope you enjoy it too:

  • 2 parts Vetiver
  • 3 parts Spearmint
  • 3 parts Spruce
  • 1 parts Cinnamin
  • 1 parts Clary Sage
  • 1 parts Lavender

Master Cleanse 2x

Stanley Burroughs wrote about about the now infamous lemonade cleanse in the 1940’s and there’s a revised edition available with additional details: The Master Cleanser: With Special Needs and Problems.

The traditional cleanse uses lemons, water, cayenne and maple syrup:

We really don’t know why Burroughs (now deceased), originally used maple syrup, but many theorize that his intentions were to increase caloric content and add minerals, unfortunately there’s no significant mineral content.

If you want to modify the formula recipe, here’s an idea that tastes great:

  • Herbal Tea: brew your favorites in about 60 ounces of purified water.
  • Maple Syrup: use 4 – 6 ounces // Grade “B” – depending on your taste preference.
  • Lemon Juice: use 6 ounces fresh squeezed organic.
  • Cayenne: use 1/2 teaspoon organic non-irradiated.



The tea helps decrease calories, increases the antioxidant potential, and imparts a nice balancing flavor.

There are just as many advocates as there are opponents to this type of short-term fasting program that significantly decreases calories, but the choice is yours to make, since you are DrDIY.

Coconut Resurrection

The #1 reason my friends don’t have a balanced-diet is the lack of single color in their dietary palette  – GREEN.  With minimal consumption of vegetables it can be a challenge to consistently get enough “cleansing” foods, unless you take a supplemental whole-food green-powder.  

My personal favorite is Healthforce Vitamineral Green, but the same concerns are voiced about taste, among those who simply don’t like the primary constituents.

My answer?  

Drumroll please…


Resurrection juice: – add a heaping tablespoonful of Vitamineral Green to your favorite brand of coconut water and mix thoroughly.

Raw-food purists won’t approve, because the coconut water has been ultra-pasteurized, making it shelf-stable, and theoretically  “dead” from an enzymatic perspective but Vitamineral Green has enough enzymes to spare, and the flavor-profile is dramatically improved in this “alchemical” combination.

With this “magical” mixture, you’ll get wide-spectrum electrolytes from the coconut water.  Those minerals (in my experience), are immune to thermal treatments, so —
